Henry visited Mars Food UK’s site at King’s Lynn in celebration of National Rice Week - and viewed its new production line that will help to meet the demand for Uncle Ben’s® Ready to Heat rice across the UK market.
Henry officially opened a new bulk store terminal at the Port of King’s Lynn worth £2.2 million on Friday 15th September. The new terminal, which will provide state-of-the-art facilities to ABP customers is part of an ongoing campaign to improve the operational infrastructure at the port.
Henry said that his heartfelt sympathy and thoughts have gone out to the families, relatives and friends of the 2 people tragically killed in the Wolferton light aircraft crash that took place on Monday.
The total number of unemployed claimants in North West Norfolk in July was 575, which is 1.3% of the 16-64 year old economically active population, which represents a small decrease from last month and is 1,325 lower than May 2010.
Charities and community groups in North West Norfolk are being encouraged to apply for their share of a massive £3million funding pot. The People’s Postcode Lottery’s Dream Fund is looking for charities to apply for funding to bring their dream project to life.
Henry very warmly welcomed the announcement made by the Ministry of Defence that they would be spending over £130million upgrading the infrastructure and facilities at RAF Marham in order to accommodate the new Joint Strike Fighter.

Henry has welcomed the announcement of further money from the Government's £100 million A&E fund being allocated to hospitals across the country including £221,000 for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn.
