Henry intervenes in ME debate

Henry was able to intervene, on three occasions, in a Westminster Hall debate on Thursday 21st June regarding research into Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME). You can view the full debate via the following link: Westminster Hall ME. It is estimated that there are 250,000 people in the United Kingdom who suffer from ME, with 25% of those being children; it is obviously therefore crucial that those that suffer from ME get the attention and research they deserve.

Locally the charity Invest in ME Research is doing truly excellent work through their Development Centre in Norwich Research Park. With this initiative there is the opportunity to make Norfolk the European hub of scientific and clinical excellence for ME. Invest in ME Research and their supporters have raised over £800,000 to fund this initiative, which could provide a sound basis for future biomedical research into ME and attract major investment into Norfolk.
