MP welcomes new primary school

Henry welcomes King’s Lynn new school and went on to say: “It really is superb news that St Edmunds Academy, the former St Edmundsbury School, will be moving from its current site next to the fire station to a new purpose built school in Greenpark Avenue adjacent to the Lynnsport development.”

“Although the St Edmunds Academy has a proud and long history, the time has come to seize the opportunity to open a new school on the Lynnsport site. Not only will the school have 420 spaces but there will also be a 56 space nursery on site as well. When the controversial Lynnsport and Marshland developments were going through, there was understandably significant opposition – and furthermore many residents never really believed that the developers would ever make any significant contribution to the capital costs of the new school.”

“What parents in North Lynn and Gaywood will really welcome is a state of the art school on their doorstep.”
